Corinthian House Community Activities

Corinthian House has been "adopted" by the Rosemary Elementary School (Campbell California) K-Kids, a Kiwanis Club sponsored activity, and their Kiwanis Key Club advisors from Westmont High School. Over the past year the K Kids have provided Corinthian Ho use with various types of art work - valentine cards, pictures, posters, etc. Corinthian House in turn gave them each a tshirt for Older Americans Month as a way of showing our appreciation.

They cannot or have not all come over to Corinthian House because there is no budget for transportation.

Corinthian House is working with Marilyn West of the Kiwanis Club to get some K Kids activity going at Campbell Middle School (about 4 blocks from our residence) and to see if the kids can put on programs, read to or write for residents, do small chores, make friends, etc. Marilyn West, Kiwanis Club with Connie Elness Principal of Rosmary School

Rosmary School Cheer by the K-Kids
This was Corinthian House's Opportunity to express appreciation to the youngsters. Our participation included the salute to the flag and the Rosemary Cheer at the beginning of the meeting. This all took place on a Thursday afternoon when we were invited by the Principal.
separately and in addition.....

Corinthian House gave a shirt to Dru from Eastfield Ming Quong for his help with computer lessons. The residents have given hand made stuffed toys made in the craft room to the Children's Shelter on Union Ave. Corinthian House was represented in the recent membership drive of the Campbell Chamber of Commerce.

Corinthian House continues to be the neighborhood stop for the bookmobile. The residents collect craft materials for the kids at Payne Elementary School. The school had no craft supplies and the residents donated a bunch of yarn, thread, lace, etc. to them.
